COWL had its beginnings in a task force on women’s
issues in long term care in 1994. The COWL membership recognizes that
long term care is about women-and the stake women have in decisions
made by Congress and state legislatures. We need to put a face on long
term care issues. Today, membership is open to men and women with an
interest in women’s issues in long term care.
